Hi guys
I am working with a CASO environment, consisting of
1 CASO server
4 (to be 5) MMS
Both the CASO and the MMS' are doing backups to their own local servers, and everything is administered from the CASO server with centralized storage of data. In the backup jobs, I have specified that the local server (i.e. caso, mms1, mms2 etc) owns the storage of the backup job, forcing the backup job on the CASO to be run ON the CASO, on MMS1 to be run ON MMS1 etc.
All the MMS's storage are shared so the Caso can see it.
So far - so good.
But....
Now, we want to duplicate from the MMS servers to the CASO, forcing me to share the CASO's storage with each MMS server (I started with two), and this is when Hell gets loose.
The backup jobs from the CASO is now widely spread to the two MMS servers that can se the CASO's storage, and the option to force CASO Jobs to use the CASO's storage as backup target has disappeared.
Is this "by design" or am I missing a vital thing here??
(see CASO.pdf for illustration of design)
