I need a solution
Hello,
I have a daily backup job that always returns the following exception:
(Server: "SERVER") (Job: "SERVER Backup_Daily-1-Backup_Daily") The job completed successfully. However, the following conditions were encountered: The list of protected resources has changed since the last instance of this job. See the Job Log for more information.
When I look in the job log I get the following error:
Resource \\SERVER\G: was not found in the previous instance of this job. It will be fully protected in this job.
What doesn't make sense is that G: is my backup drive which I swap daily (I have a total of 2 1.5TB drives I rotate daily, one being G: the other being H:).
The job log also has this error:
Resource \\SERVER\G: was found in the previous instance of this job, but it is not present in this job.Checkpoint restart cannot be applied to the following resource(s):ConfigurationV4-DB (SERVER\SHAREPOINT\SharePoint_ConfigurationDatabase), SBS SharePoint\Content-DB 1 (SERVER\SHAREPOINT\ShareWebDb), SERVER\BKUPEXEC, SERVER\DLO, SERVER\MICROSOFT##SSEE, SERVER\SBSMONITORING, SERVER\SHAREPOINT, SPUserCodeV4\Metadata (SERVER\6c38de12-27c4-4cc1-b6a2-6028b0676681), Search instance\Index files 1 (SERVER\8c7d6276-4c03-4dde-bcd9-9914c1503a48), Search instance\Search-DB 1 (SERVER\SHAREPOINT\WSS_Search_SERVER), Security Token Service Application\Metadata (SERVER\8b8d61d3-7631-49d2-a11a-13281d9bc52b), WebApplication\Content-DB 1 (SERVER\SHAREPOINT\SharePoint_AdminContent_3c1b5ed6-ce91-4c8f-9c10-1c2727719fdf), \\SERVER\Utility Partition, \\SERVER\Microsoft Information Store\Mailbox Database 2011112613, \\SERVER\Microsoft Information Store\Public Folder Database 0337598525, \\SERVER\Microsoft Information Store\SERVER01, \\SERVER\Microsoft Information Store\SERVER02, \\SERVER\Microsoft Information Store\SERVER03, \\SERVER\System?StateBackup Exec will not follow mount points, junction points, and symbolic links when the Simplified Disaster Recovery indicator is ON.
Can someone please explain why this is happening? G: is not part of my selections in the backup properties.
