Hi,
We are still in the trial so trying to evaluate if the deduplicate option would be useful or not. From what I read, since we have remote offices, it could be really useful to save on bandwidth.
We created a deduplication drive in BE15 and did some tests.
We created 4x 8G files that we backuped once.
The deduplication drive has 32G of data in it.
We copied the 4 files on another server and tried to back them up.
Miracle, the backup phase was very fast, practically no bandwidth was required as the client side deduplication worked like a charm and the deduplication drive stayed at 32 gigs since the files were already there. So this seemed amazing...
But... During the verify phase, bandwidth was used between the BE15 server and the server being backed up. It caped our 60MBPS connexion but in Upload (traffic going from our BE15 TO the server being backed up)...
Is this a normal behavior ? I don't see the point of saving the requirement of the download if we need to upload everything back to the server for verification.
Both servers are Windows 2012 R2 with the BE agent on them.
I guess I configured Something wrong but can't find anything
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
