installing BE 2012 on a Win7 desktop 64 bit

hello,

can I install BE 2012 on a Win7 desktop? 

Or can I only install BE 2012 on a Win server? 

It is my goal to use this workstation as a BE server to backup data from another system in my network to a NAS systeem also in my network.

According to the environement check it says that an install is not supported on a Win7 system. Does that means that it is completely impossible to do that or that it can work but is not a supported solution?

I have tried to install this on my desktop but after installing only the server part, it says that the services are not running on my desktop..

Then I installed also the client part, now the services are running but after starting BE he says he can't connect to the BE server.
